FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Home Grown Music Goes National
Hamburg Township, Mich., December 29, 2008 – Singer/songwriter Angela Predhomme had a 2008 that kept getting better. She started off the year performing locally and writing music, and ended the year with a song sold to Warner Brothers, a national contest win under her belt, and a CD released to very positive reception.
Angela’s catchy song, “Everything is Alright” has been sold exclusively to Telepictures, the division of Warner Brothers that produces the Tyra Banks and Ellen Degeneres TV shows. It is expected to be aired on national television.
Noteborn Music, a licensing company that supplies music to the film and tv industry, chose another one of Angela’s songs as the grand prize winner of their national recording contest. The song, “Passing the Days,” was produced at Big Sky Recording in Ann Arbor and is currently being marketed for major film/TV placement. Noteborn Music is based in Ann Arbor, Mich.
These songs and more can be heard on Angela’s debut full length CD, released in December, 2008. The CD features added instrumentation by key talent from the Detroit metro area, including guitarist Brett Lucas, Scott Christopher and Dale Grisa. It is currently available on cdbaby.com and will be on iTunes, Rhapsody, and other digital distributors by mid January.
Although the reviews are just starting to roll in, they are very positive. George McClure of McClure & Trowbridge Publishing of Nashville, Tenn., states, “excellent songwriting… vocals are a 10 out of 10.”
A dedicated songwriter and vocalist, Angela is an active member of NSAI Detroit (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and Songwriters Anonymous, groups where songwriters get both industry and peer feedback in order to perfect their craft.
Predhomme will be performing solo at the Blue Note Café in Pontiac, Mich. on Friday, January 23, 2009 with acclaimed singer/songwriter Dan Hazlett. She is also performing at Livonia's Trinity House Theatre on Feb. 6 as part of the Songwriters Anonymous Showcase.
